Paul Murphy, MD – Psychiatrist

Dr. Paul Murphy is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  He has been in practice in Wichita since 1987. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult, Geriatric and Forensic Psychiatry as well as Addictions.  Dr. Murphy is the Medical Director for St. Anthony’s Senior Care Hospital and is the consulting psychiatrist for HCA Wesley Medical Center and Wesley Woodlawn Hospital.  He is also the principal investigator for Ascension Via Christi Behavioral Research.

Dr. Murphy is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease, and various psychiatric illness affecting the elderly.  He provides assessment and acute care services to Wesley Medical Center and Wesley Woodlawn.  He is the Medical Director for Mother’s Touch Hospice.

Dr. Murphy is known in the legal community throughout the state of Kansas and provides evaluations for competency, expert legal testimony and record review and evaluation.  He is on the panels of all major insurers serving Kansas and Oklahoma.  Dr. Murphy is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, Kansas Medical Society, and Medical Society of Sedgwick County.
